Thoreau για ρούχα

April 14, 2013 § Leave a comment

I’m so lonesome I don’t even have a friend
I’m so lonesome I don’t even have me no friend
I’ve done so much crying will I never laugh again?
People evil people don’t hurt me so bad
My mind’s been broken my heart feels so sad
Evil people well I can’t even walk out of my door
I ain’t different from nobody and I just can’t take no more
I’ve got to leave where I’m going I don’t know
I’ve got to leave where I’m going I just don’t know
And I’ve had so much trouble I’m out of reach I can’t take no more

Funkadelic – Maggot Brain

The third album’s title song, “Maggot Brain“, consists of a ten-minute guitar solo by Hazel. Clinton reportedly told Hazel during the recording session to imagine he had been told his mother was dead, but then learned that it was not true.[1] Music critic Greg Tate described it as Funkadelic’s A Love Supreme.[1] In 2008, Rolling Stone cited this as number 60 on its list of 100 greatest “guitar songs” of all time.[2]

Jimi Hendrix Issue :P

All I’m gonna do is just go on and do what I feel.

Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.

I just hate to be in one corner. I hate to be put as only a guitar player, or either only as a songwriter, or only as a tap dancer. I like to move around.

I was trying to do too many things at the same time, which is my nature. But I was enjoying it, and I still do enjoy it.

I’m the one that has to die when it’s time for me to die, so let me live my life, the way I want to.
I’ve been imitated so well I’ve heard people copy my mistakes
Knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens.

Music doesn’t lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music.

My goal is to be one with the music. I just dedicate my whole life to this art.

Sometimes you want to give up the guitar, you’ll hate the guitar. But if you stick with it, you’re gonna be rewarded.

We have time, there’s no big rush.

When I die, just keep playing the records.

When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.
